Register as a voucher referral partner
Our referral partners play a crucial role in identifying individuals and families in need and helping them access our food voucher programme. By working together, we can ensure that those facing food insecurity receive the support and dignity they deserve. Please read our criteria and complete the following registration form to join us as a voucher referral partner. Once registered, your organisation will receive a new batch of vouchers every 2 months in accordance with your client needs and our capacity for support.
Criteria to Join as a Referral Partner
To ensure the effective distribution of our food vouchers and to reach those in need, we have established the following criteria for becoming a voucher distribution referral partner:
- Community-Based Organisation: Your organisation should be rooted in the community and actively engaged in addressing food insecurity or related issues.
- Established Referral Process: You should have an existing process for identifying and supporting individuals and families in need.
- Commitment to Confidentiality: Ensure the confidentiality and privacy of individuals receiving vouchers.
- Ability to Distribute Vouchers: Capacity to physically hand over vouchers to eligible recipients efficiently.
- Willingness to Collaborate: Open to working closely with City Food Share to track voucher distribution and gather feedback.
- Local Presence: Located in one of our operational areas to facilitate easy coordination.
- Non-Profit or Charity Status: Preferably registered as a non-profit or charitable organisation.
- Adherence to Guidelines: Agree to adhere to City Food Share's guidelines and reporting requirements.
Assessment of Need

Recipients should be individuals or families facing food insecurity.
Consideration is given to factors such as income level, unemployment status, and other indicators of financial hardship.
Eligibility Verification:
Verify eligibility based on documentation and interviews to ensure the vouchers reach those who genuinely need assistance.
Distribution of Vouchers
Use established criteria to identify individuals and families who qualify for food support.
Provide recipients with the appropriate number of vouchers based on their needs.
Inform recipients about how and where they can redeem the vouchers and provide any additional support or information they may need.
Reporting to CFS
Monthly Reporting: Submit a monthly report detailing the number of vouchers distributed and any issues encountered.
Data Sharing: Provide anonymised data on recipients to help City Food Share monitor and improve the program. Ensure data is collected and shared in a secure manner to protect the privacy of recipients.
Key Data Points:
- Number of vouchers distributed
- Demographic information of recipients (age, family size, etc.)
- Any feedback from recipients
Compliance Guidelines
Maintain Confidentiality: Ensure all recipient information is kept confidential and only shared with authorised personnel.
Ethical Distribution: Adhere to ethical guidelines in the assessment and distribution of vouchers to ensure fairness and transparency.
Non-Discrimination: Distribute vouchers without discrimination based on race, religion, gender, or any other protected characteristic.
