Donate and share a meal with someone in need.
Every donation plays a crucial part in providing food to those in need. Donations ensure we can continue our mission of delivering our voucher programme, supporting vulnerable people.
Here's how we utilise donations:
Purchase of Food Vouchers: 75% of donations go directly towards purchasing food vouchers that enable individuals and families to access food from local businesses.
Operational Costs: 10% support the logistical and operational aspects of CFS. This includes managing the distribution of vouchers, coordinating with referral bodies and local councils, and ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Campaigns and Fundraising: 10% helps fund our campaigns and fundraising efforts. This includes creating awareness about our initiative, reaching out to potential donors and partners, and organising events to support our mission.
Administrative Expenses: 5% is allocated to administrative costs. These essential expenses cover the day-to-day administrative tasks required to keep us going.
How we calculate the cost of a meal
We aim to provide access to hearty, balanced meals to those in need. Here's how we determine the cost:
A hearty, balanced meal typically includes:
- Protein (e.g., meat, fish, legumes)
- Carbohydrates (e.g., rice, pasta, potatoes)
- Vegetables
- Dairy or dairy alternatives
- Fruits
Participating Food Partners
We collaborate with local food businesses and grocers who source nutritious and affordable food items. These partners offer essential groceries at competitive prices to ensure our vouchers stretch as far as possible.
Cost Breakdown
Through our partnerships and ongoing analysis of food prices, we've calculated that:
- £5 provides enough for 3 nutritious meals
- £10 provides enough for 6 nutritious meals
- £15 provides enough for 9 nutritious meals
Your donation, no matter the size, has a impact on individuals and families facing food insecurity.
