About us

City Food Share is committed to combating food insecurity and promoting sustainable living. Through partnerships with local organisations, we work to support vulnerable people and raise awareness about food-related challenges in our community.

Our Mission

Our mission is to alleviate hunger, reduce food waste, and engage the community in meaningful ways to create a more food-secure and resilient society.

What We Do

Partnerships and Support: We collaborate with emergency food providers and community organisations to help provide essential items and resources to those in need.

Community Engagement: Our initiatives include awareness campaigns, community events and fundraising aimed at raising awareness about food insecurity and promoting sustainable living practices.

What is food insecurity?

Food insecurity is the lack of reliable access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food. It can result from various factors including financial hardship, lack of availability of food, and other social and economic conditions. Food insecurity can lead to hunger, poor nutrition, and a host of related health issues, affecting individuals and families across all demographics. At City Food Share, we aim to combat food insecurity by providing food vouchers and partnering with local food businesses to ensure that those in need have access to essential food and daily living items.

City Food Share Vouchers

We tackle food insecurity head-on by providing food vouchers to individuals and families in need, allowing them to purchase food and daily living items from local businesses. By partnering with a network of food retailers and restaurants, we ensure that our vouchers can be redeemed for nutritious and delicious food.

We collaborate with a network of referral organisations, social workers, food banks and local councils to identify those most in need and ensure our support reaches them effectively. Through community engagement, awareness campaigns, and fundraising, we aim to build a support system that alleviates hunger.
